The competition team represents the school at various ballroom competitions, located in various cities in the country such as Houston, Austin, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Chicago and so on. We are a group of supportive and fun people that work hard to improve our skills while enjoying each other company along the way.

How can I join? Do I need a partner?

- Any current Cougar Dancesport members may join the team for no additional cost. You do not need any prior competitive experience, our coaches will guide you through the lesson from the very entry level of competitive dancing. Additionally, advanced team members are available to help you improve. Competitive training is most effective with a partner. If you come to the team without a partner, do not hesitate to let us know and we will help you.

What time commitment is required?

- Other than participating in our classes, no specific time commitment is required. Each member practices and dedicate their time based on their schedule and individual interest.

What if I cannot afford traveling for competition?

- Our team offers sponsorship on a need-base basis for those who cannot afford to travel. Although you maybe required to spend a small amount, we are here to help you cover the heavier expense such as flight and hotel. Do not be shy to reach out to us about your financial hardship and we will do our best to accommodate.
